We are located in the culturally vibrant and historically significant neighborhood of Jebel Al Weibdeh; home to many of Amman’s stories, urban landmarks and culture centers. The building itself dates back to the mid-1950s and used to house the Select hotel (1975) and Negresco bar. The current ownership purchased the building in 2013 and began extensive renovations in hopes of developing a place of their own to share with the city and its visitors. In July 2015, Maestro Music Bar & Restaurant officially opened. Maestro is located on the ground level of La Locanda Boutique Hotel; a venue dedicated to creating an atmosphere of warm hospitality and lively entertainment. Inspired by the stars of Arabic music’s golden era, Maestro looks forward to becoming a platform that supports live performances and the production of authentic music in Amman; from jazz and classical, to folk and experimental genres. Our program features weekly concerts and jam sessions by an eclectic line-up of local, regional and international artists. Maestro also presents a one-of-a-kind drinks list with refreshing aperitifs and classic cocktails that will ease you into the night’s festivities. Our rich menu of local and worldly dishes is here to tickle your taste buds as you drink, dance and enjoy the company of your friends. Our brand has been developed specifically to represent our mantra: culture, music and warmth! Inspired by elements from the intricate universe of Jazz—dancing notes on a music sheet, swaying motions of performers, piping paths of brass instruments and legendary signage adorning the entrances of bars and lounges—Our place pays tribute to that iconic time, but further extends itself into the musical world we are trying to create today.
