The building, situated in Jebel Al Weibdeh, dates back to 1952. The current ownership purchased the property in late 2013, when it had been another hotel since the 70’s. After two years of extensive renovations, La Locanda dramatically redefined its location and experience, while honoring the architectural and historic elements of the place it once was. La Locanda made its premiere in September of 2015 and has since gone on to creatively repackage and re-conceptualize the Amman boutique hotel experience. Our version of a cultural retreat is one where travelers, culture seekers and neighbors all come together to enjoy the thoughtful contradictions of high and low; new and old.
